Are you ready to excel in both your career and family life as an ambitious woman?
You may have already sought advice from podcasts or books, but we’re here to offer a fresh perspective on achieving this delicate balance.
Let’s explore how you can thrive in both areas without compromising your ambitions or family commitments.
Always Remember to Challenge Limiting Beliefs
If you’ve found yourself hindered by thoughts like “I have to choose between career and family,” it’s time to challenge those beliefs.
Ask yourself why you hold these beliefs and who benefits from them.
Remember, your success doesn’t have to be at the expense of your family, and vice versa. Fill your cup with Jesus first, so that He will overflow into your family life and your business.
Priorities Over Routine
It’s important to tailor your routine to suit your unique circumstances and priorities; however, it’s okay if you fall short some days.
Remove the pressure of the “perfect routine,” and remember that as long as you put God at the center of your family and business, He will move the needle. Rest in the truth that He will be glorified through your work.
“Commit your work to the LORD, and your plans will be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
You Need Strength (and It’s Not Your Own)
Balancing career and family requires strength and determination. Don’t let temporary setbacks (your kid forgot their lunch, you didn’t finish the laundry, you forgot to send that email) deter you from walking in Light and trusting that the Lord will complete His work in you.
Some reminders of the Lord’s strength and provision:
- “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him” (Psalm 28:7).
- “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty” (Psalm 91:1).
- “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps” (Proverbs 16:9).
Wrapping it up!
Finding harmony between your career and family life is achievable when you are rooted in the Lord’s strength. By challenging your limiting beliefs, trusting that He will provide, and speaking truth over your day, you’re well on your way to stepping into God’s best for you, your family, and your career.
